Second Letter to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Regarding Suing of Patients for Medical Debt
February 14, 2019 – After getting no response to the first letter, patient advocacy groups PatientRightsAdvocate.org, along with Patients Rising and Restoring Medicine, sent a second letter today to the Board of Directors of Coffeyville Regional Medical Center seeking a meeting to discuss ways to help residents avoid crippling medical debts.
The letter asks the Hospital to “take another look at your level of charity and review your hospital’s billing practices. Then implement price transparency reforms that could position Coffeyville Regional Medical Center as a beacon of transparency and compassion. Light the way for other facilities.”
