OHIO: Governor DeWine Signs Bipartisan Hospital Price Transparency Bill

Today, PatientRightsAdvocate.org released the following statement applauding Ohio Governor DeWine signing Bipartisan Hospital Price Transparency Bill.

"We applaud Governor DeWine for signing this historic bill into law and ringing in the new year with full hospital price transparency for Ohioans. The Barhorst-Ferguson legislation makes Ohio the first state in the nation to codify the federal rule first enacted by President Trump and require upfront prices in dollars and cents so that patients can protect themselves from overcharges and choose affordable care. As 2025 unfolds, we expect other states to follow Ohio's impressive lead and pass similar measures to empower healthcare consumers with the price information they deserve."
